Privacy Policy

Knife Edge Software, LLC doing business as Zide Software (“Zide,” “Company,” “we,” or “us”) operates an agentic coding tool and integrated desktop software development environment. Our Services include our website located at https://zide.dev (“Website”), the Zide desktop application (“Software”), Zide Assist and other artificial-intelligence features, server-backed account, subscription, license, credit-management, voice-dictation, connected-service, support, and related tools, features, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, storage, processing, transmission, and disclosure of personal data when you use the Services and the choices you have regarding that data (“Privacy Policy”). This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who visit the Website, download or use the Software, create or maintain a Zide account, purchase or manage subscriptions or credits, use Zide Assist or other AI Features, use voice dictation, connect third-party services, communicate with us, or otherwise access or use the Services (“Users,” “you,” or “your”). Use of the Services is also subject to our Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy, which govern licenses, accounts, subscriptions, payments, credits, AI Features, connected services, and other features of the Services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies or services that we do not own or control.

We use data to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services. Zide is designed so that substantial portions of your development work remain on your own device and within third-party services you choose to connect. By using the Services or providing information to us, you acknowledge the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy as it may be updated from time to time. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy.

Definitions

  • Cookies: Cookies are small pieces of data or similar technologies stored on or accessed from your device or browser to operate, secure, remember preferences for, or understand use of the Website.

  • Data Controller: Data Controller means the natural or legal person who, either alone or jointly with other persons, determines the purposes for which and the manner in which personal information is processed. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, Knife Edge Software, LLC is the Data Controller for Personal Data that Zide collects and controls directly through the Services. A merchant of record, Connected Service, AI provider, or other third party may separately act as a controller or business for information it collects under its own terms and privacy policy.

  • Data Processors (or Service Providers): Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any natural or legal person who processes data on behalf of the Data Controller. We may use third-party service providers for payment and subscription administration, hosting and infrastructure, AI and speech-to-text processing, connected-service integrations, software delivery and diagnostics, analytics, security, communications, customer support, and professional services.

  • Personal Data: Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from that data or from other information either in our possession or reasonably likely to come into our possession.

  • Service: Service means Zide’s software-development and related digital offerings, including our Website, the Software, Zide Assist and other AI Features, account and subscription administration, license and credit management, voice dictation, connected-service integrations, support communications, software downloads and updates, and related tools and features.

  • Usage Data: Usage Data is data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself, such as device, browser, Software-version, feature-interaction, performance, diagnostic, security, and Website-visit information.

  • User: “User” means any individual who accesses or uses the Services, whether personally or on behalf of a company or other organization.

Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to operate, secure, personalize, support, and improve the Zide Services. Information collected may include data voluntarily provided by Users during account registration, subscription or credit purchases, use of AI Features, voice dictation, connected-service authorization, support requests, feedback, and communications, as well as limited technical, diagnostic, security, and Usage Data collected automatically.

Zide intentionally limits server-side collection. Substantial portions of your project files, source code, credentials, settings, issue records, and cached information are designed to remain locally on your device or within third-party services you choose to connect. Certain information must nevertheless be processed to create and validate accounts, subscriptions, licenses, devices, and credits; complete payments; provide server-backed, AI, proxy, and voice-dictation functionality; maintain security; diagnose errors; and respond to support requests.

Our information collection may also include cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, general location, and analytics or diagnostic tools used to understand Website and Service performance. Users may access the Services from outside the United States. Information may be stored and processed in the United States and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, subject to applicable contractual, confidentiality, privacy, and security obligations.

Types of Data Collected

Information You Choose to Give Us

When you use the Services, we collect the information you choose to share with us, including certain personally identifiable information used to create or administer an account, validate a subscription or license, process a transaction, provide an AI or voice-dictation request, connect a third-party service, respond to a support request, receive feedback, or communicate with you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address, mailing address, and other contact information you provide
  • Account details, login information, subscription-authorization information, and device or license identifiers
  • Subscription tier, billing period, renewal, cancellation, refund, credit-balance, and transaction information
  • Information you provide when purchasing a subscription or Bulk Credits through Polar or another merchant of record
  • Credentials, tokens, permissions, account identifiers, repository information, issue information, or other data needed to connect GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, or another Connected Service
  • Prompts, instructions, code, file contents, repository context, terminal content, issue information, and other Inputs you choose to submit to an AI Feature
  • AI-generated code, text, commands, explanations, suggestions, transcripts, and other AI Output returned through the Services
  • Voice audio captured while you actively use voice dictation and transcript content generated from that audio
  • Information voluntarily provided through emails, feedback, bug reports, support requests, surveys, or other communications
  • Diagnostic files, logs, screenshots, environment information, filenames, paths, or limited content excerpts you choose to provide for support
  • Software-download, update, feature-use, credit-use, and content-interaction information
  • Cookies, device identifiers, and Usage Data used to analyze Website and Service activity
  • IP addresses, browser data, device data, and general geolocation information used for security, compliance, analytics, and Service operation

Age Eligibility and Minors

The Services are intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher, as stated in our Terms of Use. The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided Personal Data to us or that an account is being used by an individual who does not satisfy the applicable age requirement, we may suspend or terminate the account and take reasonable steps to delete eligible Personal Data, subject to legal, security, transaction, fraud-prevention, and record-retention requirements.

User-Provided Content

Zide allows Users to choose files, code, repository context, issue information, terminal content, prompts, voice dictation, feedback, diagnostic materials, and other content for processing through the Services. This content may include Personal Data, confidential information, trade secrets, or third-party information and is voluntarily provided by the User. You are responsible for determining whether the information is appropriate to submit and whether you have the necessary rights, permissions, and lawful basis to provide it. Zide does not make User project content publicly visible merely because it is processed through the Services.

Service and Support Communications

Zide communicates with Users through email, the Website, the Software, in-app messages, account or subscription interfaces, support channels, and other approved methods. Communications may be used to confirm purchases, administer accounts and subscriptions, provide security or policy notices, deliver technical information, answer questions, and provide support. Zide does not access communications or content outside the systems and integrations used to provide the Services.

Third-Party Communication and Service Integrations

Zide may use approved third-party tools and integrations, including Polar or another merchant of record; GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, and other Connected Services; third-party AI model providers; speech-to-text and language-model providers; cloud-hosting, proxy, software-delivery, security, diagnostics, email, analytics, and customer-support providers; and other service providers used to operate and deliver the Services.

The Services may also contain external URLs or integrations relating to source-code hosts, issue trackers, AI providers, payment providers, documentation, development tools, and other third-party websites or services. Zide does not verify or control all external content and is not responsible for the data handling, retention, security, availability, or privacy practices of third-party platforms. Users should use discretion when sharing information outside of the Services and should review the terms and privacy policies of third parties they use.

Communication and Marketing

We may use your Personal Data to contact you with product announcements, feature information, software updates, service notices, educational or technical information, surveys, promotional offers, and other communications that may be of interest to you. We may also send transactional communications, including account, subscription, payment, credit, refund, security, support, and policy notices. You may opt out of marketing or promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe method provided in the communication. Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent us from sending transactional, legal, security, billing, or service-related communications.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you interact with the Zide Website and Services to improve performance, maintain security, understand User needs, diagnose errors, and enhance the User experience. This may include technical and diagnostic details such as:

  • Your device type, operating system, browser version, and Software version
  • Internet Protocol (IP) address and general location
  • Device, installation, account, license, and subscription identifiers
  • Website pages, documentation, downloads, and links you view or access
  • Software features, commands, integrations, and AI or voice-dictation functions you use
  • Subscription, renewal, cancellation, refund, and AI-credit activity
  • Error reports, crash information, request timestamps, support metadata, and delivery confirmations
  • Session duration, navigation patterns, performance data, and security or fraud-prevention signals

When using the Software or Website, we may also collect device, browser, diagnostic, and performance information needed to operate the Services, resolve issues, detect abuse, and optimize functionality. Zide may allow you to submit additional logs, screenshots, or diagnostic information when requesting support. You should review such material before sending it and remove information that is not needed. We do not request precise GPS location for ordinary use of the Services.

Location Data

We may collect and use general location information (“Location Data”), such as state, region, country, or approximate location derived from your IP address, transaction information, or device settings, to operate the Website, administer payments and taxes, prevent fraud, comply with export controls and sanctions, understand the geographic use of the Services, and comply with applicable law. We do not ordinarily require precise geolocation for use of the Services.

Geolocation-Based Restrictions and Service Availability

Zide may restrict or adjust certain Services, AI models, subscriptions, credits, payment options, prices, integrations, downloads, or content based on a User’s location in order to comply with applicable laws, export controls, sanctions, operational requirements, provider restrictions, or third-party platform limitations. These restrictions may include:

  • Limiting access to Services or AI providers that are unavailable or restricted in a particular jurisdiction
  • Restricting payment options, subscriptions, credits, or pricing where a merchant of record or provider is not supported
  • Adjusting notices, consent choices, or data-processing practices to comply with applicable privacy or consumer laws
  • Limiting access to Connected Services, software downloads, or features that are unavailable in a User’s location

These restrictions may be based on IP address, device settings, payment information, account information, provider availability, and User-provided information. By using the Services, you acknowledge that some features may be unavailable in a particular location due to legal, operational, security, compliance, or third-party requirements.

Microphone, Voice Dictation, and Audio

If you use voice dictation in Zide Assist, Zide captures audio from your microphone only while you are actively recording and transmits it through the Zide proxy to third-party speech-to-text and language-model providers to produce and clean up a text transcript. The transcript is returned to the Software for you to review before you send it. Audio is used to provide the requested dictation function. Microphone access requires permission through your operating system and can be revoked at any time through your device settings. Zide does not use voice recordings or transcripts to train its own AI models, but third-party providers process information under their own terms, privacy policies, and retention practices.

Inputs, AI Output, Project Content, and Communications

Zide does not routinely collect every file, repository, credential, project, command, or item you access through the Software. Local settings, issue records, credentials, cached information, and project data are designed to remain on your device unless you choose to transmit information through an AI Feature, Connected Service, voice-dictation feature, support request, or other server-backed function. When you use an AI Feature, the selected Inputs may be transmitted to a third-party AI provider to generate AI Output. Zide does not use your Inputs or AI Output to train, fine-tune, or develop its own AI models. Third-party AI providers may have different practices, and you should review their terms and privacy policies before submitting confidential, regulated, or sensitive information.

Information Third Parties Provide About You

We may receive limited information about you from approved third-party service providers that support or interact with the Zide Website and Services. These providers may share technical, transactional, account, integration, AI-processing, security, or service-related data to help us operate the Website, process transactions, provide requested functionality, maintain security, and evaluate performance. This may include:

  • Polar or another merchant of record, which may provide transaction confirmations, customer email, subscription tier, renewal status, refund or chargeback information, tax or regional information, and transaction identifiers
  • GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, and other Connected Services, which may return account identifiers, repository names, permissions, issue data, files, or other content needed to complete an action you request
  • AI, speech-to-text, and language-model providers, which may return AI Output, transcripts, error messages, token or usage information, and service-status information
  • Website, hosting, analytics, security, software-delivery, and diagnostics providers, which may provide technical, performance, device, log, and interaction information
  • Email, customer-support, and professional service providers, which may provide communications, support history, and information needed to perform their services

Zide does not receive your full payment-card number from Polar or another merchant of record and does not receive every item maintained by a Connected Service. The information returned to Zide depends on the feature you use, the permissions you grant, the provider’s configuration, and the information reasonably necessary to complete the requested function.

Tracking and Cookies Data

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how Users interact with the Zide Website and Services, improve functionality, maintain security, support account or download functions, measure content use, and enhance overall performance. Cookies are small files that may include a unique identifier and are stored on your device or browser. Tracking technologies may also include beacons, tags, pixels, and scripts to collect and analyze data. This may include understanding:

  • How Users navigate the Website, documentation, download pages, account pages, and checkout process
  • How Users view or access product information, software downloads, support materials, and external resources
  • How frequently particular pages, links, downloads, or Services are accessed
  • How Users interact with account, payment, support, security, analytics, and communication features

You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to notify you when a cookie is being sent. However, some Website or account features may not function properly without essential cookies. Where required by law, we may provide a cookie banner or preference tool for non-essential cookies, and you may adjust your choices through that tool or your browser settings.

Examples of Cookies we use:

  • Session Cookies: Used to operate Website, account, download, and session functionality.
  • Preference Cookies: Used to remember Website, account, communication, or cookie preferences.
  • Security Cookies: Used to maintain data security, prevent fraud, and protect accounts and Services.
  • Analytics Cookies: Used, where enabled, to evaluate Website traffic, content engagement, and overall User experience.

Use of Data

Zide does not sell your information to any third party for monetary consideration. We collect and use Personal Data and other information to operate the Website and Services, administer accounts, subscriptions, licenses, and credits, provide AI and voice-dictation features, connect third-party services at your direction, process transactions, maintain security, and enhance your overall experience.

The Company may also use your data for purposes including, but not limited to:

  • To provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve the Website, Software, Services, AI Features, voice dictation, and Connected Services
  • To create and administer accounts and validate subscriptions, licenses, devices, feature access, and credits
  • To process purchases, refunds, subscription changes, transaction records, and access to paid Services or credits
  • To deliver software downloads, updates, product information, documentation, and service-related communications
  • To process Inputs, provide AI Output, generate voice-dictation transcripts, and complete other functions requested by Users
  • To provide customer support and technical assistance
  • To monitor and improve the performance, reliability, compatibility, and security of the Website and Software
  • To perform analytics on Website use, feature interaction, credit use, errors, performance, and Service operation
  • To send product information, security notices, support communications, surveys, and marketing communications based on your preferences
  • To detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, prohibited activity, security incidents, and technical issues
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations concerning privacy, consumer protection, payments, taxes, export controls, sanctions, records, and electronic communications
  • To support internal operations, such as data analysis, research, testing, software development, quality assurance, and business planning
  • To better understand User needs and software-development workflows to improve Services and product development
  • To provide notifications about accounts, subscriptions, payments, credits, Software updates, security, policies, and service-related changes unless you opt out where permitted

In some cases, we may also use your data for other purposes disclosed at the time of collection or with your explicit consent. We may use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, security, research, performance measurement, product development, and business planning when the information is not reasonably capable of being linked to an identifiable individual.

User Responsibility for Information, Inputs, and Decisions

Zide does not independently verify every Input, file, command, repository, credential, connected account, AI Output, transcript, diagnostic record, or other item submitted or generated through the Services. Users are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting credentials and devices, selecting appropriate permissions, reviewing and testing AI Output, confirming that they have rights to submit content, and determining whether information is appropriate for transmission to an AI provider, Connected Service, or other third party. Zide does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, confidentiality, security, or suitability of AI Output or third-party information and is not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on such material.

Retention of Data

Zide uses commercially reasonable measures to retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Personal Data may be retained while an account or subscription is active and afterward as needed to maintain license or perpetual-license records, administer credits and refunds, preserve transaction and tax records, respond to questions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, and support legitimate business operations. Local project data, credentials, and settings remain on your device unless you choose to transmit them through a Connected Service, AI Feature, voice-dictation feature, support request, backup, or other function. AI Inputs, AI Output, voice audio, transcripts, proxy logs, and related metadata may be retained for different periods depending on the feature, provider, security needs, support requirements, and applicable provider terms. Zide cannot control retention by an independent third-party provider.

Transfer of Data

Knife Edge Software, LLC is located in the United States. We and our Service Providers may transfer, store, and process information, including Personal Data, on servers or systems located outside of your state and in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or trusted providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have privacy laws that differ from the laws of your location. Where required by applicable law, we may rely on contractual protections, consent, performance of a contract, adequacy determinations, or another legally recognized transfer mechanism. By using a Connected Service or third-party AI provider, you may also direct information to countries where that provider operates.

Business Transaction

If Knife Edge Software, LLC or Zide is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, investment transaction, corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, or asset sale, Personal Data and other business records may be reviewed, disclosed, or transferred as part of the transaction. Such transfers may include account information, subscription and transaction records, credit information, support communications, Usage Data, and other information reasonably associated with the Services. We will use commercially reasonable measures to provide any notice required by applicable law before Personal Data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

Disclosure for Law Enforcement

Zide may be required to preserve or disclose Personal Data when necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, court orders, or valid requests by public authorities, including courts, government agencies, or law enforcement entities. This may include account information, transaction records, subscription or license records, communications, logs, Connected-Service information, or other data relevant to a lawful request.

Zide may preserve, use, or disclose Personal Data in good faith when such action is reasonably believed to be necessary for any of the following purposes:

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, court orders, or governmental requests
  • To protect and defend the rights, property, systems, Services, personnel, or safety of Knife Edge Software, LLC, Zide, our Users, or our Service Providers
  • To investigate or prevent potential misconduct, fraud, infringement, unauthorized access, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity involving the Services
  • To respond to reported incidents involving Users, accounts, subscriptions, connected services, contractors, or service providers
  • To safeguard the personal safety of Users, our personnel, Service Providers, or the general public
  • To establish or defend legal claims, enforce our agreements, and reduce potential legal, security, or operational liability

Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us, and Zide uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data and other information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Depending on the information and system, these measures may include encryption in transit, authentication, access controls, secure development practices, credential separation, logging, monitoring, firewalls, provider review, and incident-response procedures. Payment information is processed through a third-party merchant of record that maintains its own security practices. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your device, operating system, local files, repositories, passwords, API keys, access tokens, Connected Services, and backups.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a security incident that affects Personal Data and requires notice under applicable law, we will notify affected individuals, regulators, or other parties as required by applicable federal, state, or other law. When required, notification may include information about the nature of the incident, the categories of data involved, and steps affected Users may take. Notice may be provided by email, in-app communication, Website posting, or another legally permitted method.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

Zide does not currently respond to every browser-based Do Not Track (“DNT”) signal because there is no uniform industry standard for interpreting those signals. Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to indicate that you do not want to be tracked online. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will process that signal as required for the browser or device from which it is received. California residents who provide Personal Information, as defined under applicable California law, to obtain products or services for personal, family, or household purposes may be entitled to request information about certain collection, use, or disclosures of Personal Information. Service Providers

Zide may engage trusted third-party companies and individuals (“Service Providers”) to help us operate, improve, secure, analyze, support, and deliver our Services. These Service Providers may have access to Personal Data only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us or to support services requested through Zide, subject to applicable contractual, legal, technical, and organizational protections.

The Services currently use or may use the following Service Providers and third-party integrations, depending on the features selected and enabled:

  • Polar or another merchant of record: payment processing, payment authorization, subscription administration, currency conversion, sales tax and VAT, invoices, refunds, chargebacks, fraud detection, billing support, and related financial and compliance functions. Zide does not directly store full payment-card numbers. See the applicable merchant of record’s privacy policy.
  • GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, and other Connected Services: authentication, repository access, source-control functions, issue tracking, code review, releases, permissions, account information, and other actions requested by the User. Each Connected Service processes information under its own privacy policy.
  • Third-party AI model providers: processing of prompts, code, file contents, repository context, terminal content, issue information, and other Inputs to generate code, text, commands, explanations, suggestions, or other AI Output. Provider practices vary and are governed by the provider’s terms and privacy policy.
  • Speech-to-text and language-model providers: processing of voice audio and transcript content used to provide and clean up voice-dictation transcripts. These providers may receive audio and related technical information only when the voice-dictation feature is used.
  • Cloud-hosting, proxy, content-delivery, and infrastructure providers: server-backed account, subscription, license, credit, AI-request, voice-dictation, security, performance, and related operational functions, where enabled.
  • Software distribution, update, diagnostics, and error-monitoring providers: delivery of downloads and updates, crash reporting, error identification, performance monitoring, compatibility analysis, and technical support, where enabled.
  • Website analytics and performance providers: Website traffic measurement, diagnostic data, visitor interactions, product improvement, and performance monitoring. These services may use cookies or similar technologies, subject to applicable consent choices.
  • Email, customer-support, and communication providers: delivery of account notices, purchase confirmations, subscription and credit communications, security alerts, support responses, product updates, marketing messages, and unsubscribe management.
  • Security, fraud-prevention, compliance, and identity-verification providers: account protection, fraud detection, abuse prevention, sanctions and export-control screening, security monitoring, and privacy-request verification, where enabled.
  • Professional advisers and business-support providers: legal, accounting, tax, insurance, cybersecurity, compliance, dispute-resolution, audit, and risk-management support. These providers may receive information only when reasonably necessary to perform their professional services or comply with law.

Third-party services may collect information directly from you or through their integrations with the Services. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which may change independently of this Privacy Policy. Zide does not control and is not responsible for the privacy, security, retention, availability, or other practices of third parties that it does not own or control. If you use your own AI API key, subscription, or enterprise account, the applicable provider’s settings and agreements may determine how your information is processed.

Payments

We provide paid subscriptions and Bulk Credit purchases through the Website or related interfaces. A third-party merchant of record, currently Polar, processes payments and may collect payment-card details, billing information, currency, tax information, IP address, device information, and other data needed to complete transactions, prevent fraud, issue invoices, process refunds, and comply with financial and tax obligations. Zide does not collect or store full payment-card details. We may receive limited transaction and customer information from the merchant of record, including email address, transaction identifier, subscription tier, billing period, payment status, renewal or cancellation status, refund or chargeback information, and regional or tax metadata.

Our Services may contain links to or integrations with sites and services that we do not operate. If you click a third-party link or enable an integration, you will be directed to or interact with that third party’s service. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy and terms of every service you use. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, data retention, security, availability, or practices of third-party sites or services. Certain links or integrations may direct you to source-code hosts, issue trackers, AI providers, payment providers, documentation, development tools, or other external resources that collect information under their own privacy terms.

Children and Users Under the Age of 18

The Services are intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from a child under 13. If we become aware that information was collected from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete eligible information. If you believe a child or other underage individual may have provided information to Zide, please contact us using the method described in the Contact Us section.

California residents under 16 years of age may have additional rights regarding the collection, sale, or sharing of their personal information. We may require identity or authority verification before processing a request. Cancellation does not automatically delete local project data, Connected-Service data, third-party AI-provider data, transaction records, or information that we must or are permitted to retain for license, perpetual-license, credit, refund, tax, legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or other legitimate purposes.
